“For me, tattooing goes beyond patterns or symbols. It’s about meeting people in their truth; taking the time to connect, listen and understand where they are in life and what has shaped them.
Every session is a journey; a space where we drop in and create from presence. There is movement, change and awakening where each story follows its own rhythm.
Through my artistry, I have learned to become a vessel, allowing the art to move through me, not for me. It’s not about me, but the person carrying the story. It is a collaboration between spirit, soul and human experience.” Mirjam Manusama
Mirjam Manusama is known for her intuitive designs, deeply rooted in personal stories and interwoven with ancestral influences. Her work translates lived experience into visual language, creating pieces that feel both intimate and timeless.
In 2025, she officially began her journey as a tattoo artist at Karma House in Ubud, Bali. In 2026, she found a place that truly resonated with her creative and personal path at TALA.TELU based in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.
Guided by the fluidity of life, Mirjam explores themes of freedom, consciousness and self-expression through her art. Her Moluccan–Indonesian heritage, combined with a fascination for duality, mysticism and the human experience forms the foundation of her distinctive, tribal-inspired style.
At the heart of her practice lies her signature approach, Seeing the Unseen; an intimate and intuitive process in which Mirjam connects deeply with a person’s essence and life journey. Through attentive listening and presence, she translates these stories into one-of-a-kind designs. Each piece becomes a visual embodiment of a soul’s narrative, created to empower, ground, and connect.
